User privileges in remote access

What needs to be known?

The homeowner, maintenance personnel, and service may not require the same authorization. Separate users are preferred over shared accounts. Access is reviewed when personnel changes.

Select functions to control

The appearance of lighting, pump, heating and measurement equipment on the same screen does not mean that all devices are compatible with each other. The control method, communication protocol and functions allowed by the device must be verified. Panel, cable and connection capacity are evaluated from the beginning for equipment to be added in the future.

Automation does not replace maintenance

Sensor cleaning, calibration and physical equipment checks continue. Which functions continue locally in case of an internet outage, to whom the alerts are delivered, and how manual intervention is made should be tested during delivery. Access authorizations should only be granted to necessary individuals.
