Distinguish system type
Standing wave, high-speed water sheet and traveling wave lagoon have different design methods. The desired user experience and site characteristics determine which technology will be evaluated. This guide does not measure implementation for a single system.
Flow and speed
In the relation Q = A × v, flow rate, flow cross-section and average velocity are interconnected; Units must be used in harmony. However, this correlation alone does not solve the nozzle design. The smoothness of the flow, losses and interaction with the surface must be evaluated.
Return and suction
Recovering water and reaching the pump is as important as the visible surf surface. Air mixing, water level variation and maintenance access affect operating patterns. Suction safety is handled with competent engineering and manufacturer conditions.
Energy and control
The required performance in different operating modes is determined. The control system is designed with the operator's authorizations, work permits and fault situations. When choosing energy infrastructure and equipment, not only the total nominal power is taken into consideration.
verification
Coordination with the manufacturer, verification of project data, field testing and user training are required. The engineering requirements of two visually similar systems may not be the same.
