Use the exact measurement of the opening
The outer frame size of the cover may not be the same as the clear opening through which the equipment will pass. Hinges, stairs, railings or pipelines can narrow the passage area. In addition to the unpackaged dimensions of parts such as the filter body and pump, the turning area required during transportation is also evaluated.
Think after the first installation
Equipment may have been moved in before the building closed; The same route may not be used years later. Placing fixed landscaping, heavy furniture or coatings that are difficult to remove over the cover increases the maintenance work. Technical access is a part of the project that will be used constantly, not a gap that will be forgotten later.
What will be shown in the drawing
- Net inlet size remaining with the lid fully open
- Removal route of the filter and the heaviest part
- Entrance staircase and safe work area
- Surface water, ventilation and usage class of the cover

When choosing a cover, the load class and environmental condition must be verified from the manufacturer's documentation. It should not be assumed that a cover used in a pedestrian area is suitable for the vehicle load. The combination of frame, assembly and environment is defined together in the proposal.
