The place where the device fits is not sufficient
Choosing a pool lift isn't just about finding an empty spot on the sidelines. The route in which the user will approach the device, the space for a wheelchair or auxiliary equipment, and the movement of the seating area into the water are evaluated together. Edge stone, overflow channel and railings should not overlap with the movement area.
Fixed and portable models
Anchorage, support base, power supply and storage requirements vary by model. In the fixed model, the suitability of the connection to the supporting structure; In the portable model, displacement and parking conditions are examined through the manufacturer's documentation. The carrying capacity and usage limits of the product are also verified.
layout control
- Draw a continuous approach route from the dry area to the transfer point.
- Check the movement envelope of the seat along with the pool edge and water depth.
- Incorporate the needs of the user and the helper into the project discussion.
- Cover inspection, emergency and maintenance operations in delivery training.
Accessibility is a whole
If showers, lockers, doorways and circulation areas are not suitable, simply adding an elevator will not be enough. The final solution must be evaluated together with the facility's conditions of use and applicable accessibility requirements.
