What needs to be known?
Adhesive, carrier surface and joint should be evaluated together. Curves, corners and lamp surrounds require detail. Choosing just color can create inconsistency in combinations.
Check when making decisions
- Verify system compatibility
- Request a corner sample
- Learn the cleaning method
Appearance and daily use
Coating color, water depth, angle of incidence of light, and surrounding surfaces change the perceived water color. It would be more reliable to make a decision based on the sample and the light conditions in the field rather than a photo on the screen. When choosing a surface, cleanliness, sliding behavior and detail solution should be examined as well as appearance.
Clarify the details in the drawing
Edge finishes, overflow channels, joints, stairs and lighting points should not be selected independently of each other. Sample approval and agreement of joint details prior to application reduces the need for improvised solutions in the field. If the material changes, the substrate and connection conditions also need to be rechecked.
